This Phantom Quartz pendant in sterling silver makes a bold statement at 60.5 grams. The brown oval stone displays ghost-like internal formations that give Phantom Quartz its name. Few pieces carry this much visual weight.
Phantom Quartz forms when crystal growth pauses, allowing mineral deposits to settle before growth resumes. This creates the layered shadow patterns visible within the stone. With a Mohs hardness of 7, the stone resists scratches during regular wear. The pendant measures 2 3/4 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide, and 1/2 inch thick. A polished .925 sterling silver bezel frames the stone, letting light enter from all angles. This piece belongs to the Agra Collection.
