Red is often seen as the color of love and passion- after all, when did you ever see a valentine's heart in blue or green? It's not just something that exists in the western world, and in many Asian countries, red is seen as the color of success and prosperity, and it's traditional to give a gift of something in red when you want to wish someone luck. It might not seem like such a positive association, but remember that red is also the color of blood, and of course blood gives us life. While it's a bright and vibrant color, red works so very well in fashion and looks good on most people, regardless of your hair color. Red jewelry is also very popular, and rubies and red diamonds have been used as decoration for thousands of years. Rubies and diamonds might be beyond many of our budgets, and yet there's no reason why we can't incorporate red jewelry into our accessories collection, and red earrings are an amazing addition to any wardrobe.
Large plastic red earrings in a variety of circles and squares were very popular in the 1980's and while this look has made a comeback amongst younger women, some of us might prefer something with a little more subtlety and elegance, and there are a huge number of styles of red earrings to choose from, from earrings that are entirely red, to earrings that have small elements of red, whether it's the inclusion of red gemstones or simply red adornments on the earrings.
Red goes well with many different looks, and so red earrings can be a wonderful look, even if you don't feel that you need some extra luck in your day.
